It looks like Twisted Fate will be the newest champion to be hitting Team Fight Tactics. Last night a tweet went out from Riot Wittrock of a picture of a champion stating “Champion #51 coming to TFT”.
This was later confirmed to be Twisted Fate by another part of the TFT crew, Riot Maple Nector.
It is likely that Twisted Fate will be a pirate based on the skin that they are using in the photo. This means meta-wise that pirate may become even more meta. It will be interesting to see what spell he will have as it could be useful to have his Gold Card for stuns, his Red Card for AOE damage, his move Wild Cards which fan out in three lines or even his ultimate Destiny to teleport behind enemies. Either way, his kit should provide a lot of interesting options for pirate comps and possibly more depending on his origin.
As he is the first champion released for TFT, that was not included in the release, it will be interesting to see who comes along with him. Riot had mentioned previously that they will likely bring out two at a time until they reach a certain number. There are still nearly 100 different champions to choose from so expect another champion that directly affects the current meta.
