The perfect holiday gift for your gaming nephew that you don’t know much about has finally arrived. Puma has officially released their new “Active Gaming Footwear” that are, more or less, just fancy socks targeted at gamers. But, that doesn’t make them any less awesome. See for yourself.
The socks can be purchased currently in Australia or the UK with no projection on when they may make their way to the US. Here is the product story from the website:
“Created with console gamers in mind, the gaming sock is the first edition Active Gaming Footwear. Designed for indoor and in-arena use, it delivers seamless comfort, support and grip so gamers can adapt to different active gaming modes and game their best.”

It’s not clear what Puma may mean by “active modes of gaming” although it’s likely safe to assume they are marketing these for competitive gaming or esports, rather than making these for active VR or Nintendo Switch titles.
This is Puma’s first product release associated with gaming, joining the ranks of others in the industry like Nike and Adidas that are beginning to delve into the growing market. There haven’t been any other announcements of a coming gaming or esports line so, for the time being, fans can assume these may be the only gaming product Puma intends to roll out this holiday season.
