A new season of Overwatch is almost here meaning another season of changes and new content for players to enjoy. On August 10th, 2023, a new hero will be making an appearance as well. So who exactly is the new Overwatch 2 Season 6 hero?
After being teased by Blizzard for months now and after being accidentally leaked on social platforms, players now know the identity of the new Overwatch 2 hero. Players can expect to see new support hero Illari make her way to the battleground on August 10th.
Recently revealed by Blizzard, support hero Illari will be the newest hero added to the game. She will be a healing support that is supposedly from Peru and inspired by the Incan people of ancient times from that area. Everything she does is related to the sun and its healing and damaging properties.
It looks as if she will be joining in the story missions as well and fits the last bit of news that the devs gave about the support heroes. She is likely younger in age and a new hero coming to the world of Overwatch 2. Illari is the second to last hero being added in 2023.
Whether players decide to play Overwatch 2 on Xbox Series consoles, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, or PC via Steam, Overwatch 2 does, in fact, have crossplay capabilities. This means that regardless of what system someone plays on, players can play with each other.
