It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Overwatch 2. The Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event is making its grand return this year. The event this year will not only be bringing good tidings but Christmas cosmetics and free rewards for all players.
The Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland Event will be a part of Season 2 of Overwatch. The holiday event will be going live starting on December 13, 2022. The event will stay active until January 4, 2023. The event will begin at the following times:
Just like in the previous winter events held by Overwatch all previous Winterfest skins will be made available. With loot boxes gone however the only way to purchase these skins now will have to be through the item shop.
During the event, gamers have the chance to earn some free cosmetic items. Those items consist of the Epic Ice Queen Brigitte skin, Snowman Head Weapon Charm, and the Festive Wreath Weapon Charm. There also will be a new Gingerbread Bastion Skin.
Gamers can expect the return of the limited-time game mode Mei’s Snowball Offensive.
Following the Winter Wonderland event will be the Lunar New Year event. This event will begin starting on January 17 to February 6. While the information on the Lunar New Year event is still limited within the Season 2 trailer, gamers can see Rabbit-themed Mei skin. That’s one skin that can be confirmed for the event.
