After so long the wait for Overwatch 2 PvE is finally going to be coming to an end. This comes straight from the latest reveals on the Overwatch 2 Stream where the rest of the 2023 Roadmap was revealed along with a PvE Update. Without further adieu, here is the long-awaited Overwatch 2 PvE Release Date.

The calling card for Overwatch 2 was that fans would finally be able to dig into the story. Up to this point. Overwatch and Overwatch 2 were just multiplayer games with fantastic characters and interesting surface stories surrounding them. The addition of PvE was not only to give players something new to do but also to allow for the story of Overwatch and the characters to be fleshed out even more.
This was seen with the original announcement of Overwatch 2 where many popular Overwatch streamers played the first shown mission in Rio. With this, players and fans were able to see that there were interesting new things that could be done with abilities for heroes that they had never expected. The almost RPG-like system was a calling card for the new PvE addition.
Unfortunately, the RPG-like element has been dropped. But they will be adding new missions instead that do have to do with the story but with the characters’ current abilities.
Many had hoped that the launch of Overwatch 2 would see PvE added. Many fun missions in the past have held players’ attention for quite some time during the many different events. Unfortunately, things were delayed to sometime in 2023. Now that delay will be ending.
The Overwatch 2 PvE Release Date has been revealed to be coming with Overwatch 2 Season 6 or around August 15, 2023.
