An Overwatch 2 PVE Trailer made an appearance at the Xbox Showcase this year. Here’s all the information about the game’s upcoming PVE mode before it launches on August 10
“Humanity and Omnics, a race of sentient machines, have had a tense relationship since the Omnic Crisis, a global war that eventually led to the creation of Overwatch. Years later, Overwatch disbanded, and now the world is under new threats. When Null Sector begins their attack in Paris, Winston, Tracer, Mei, and a handful of other heroes are able to save the city from destruction; however, they soon realize that a global invasion has just begun. Fight against the intensified forces of Null Sector and stay alert for challenging units, including the powerful Annihilators and the deadly Stalkers.”
The newest Overwatch 2 trailer shown at the Xbox Showcase was all things Giant robots, co-op events, firing ranges, story missions, and much more. It’s the end of the trailer that will have gamers talking, however. At the end of the trailer, a hero who can only be inferred to be a new support hero rises into the sky wearing a crown and a cape. While it’s still hard to make it out clearly the new hero will be brandishing a big gun or a giant sword of the sort.
The new Overwatch 2 PVE Mode will be dubbed Invasion. This new mode brings along new story missions, a new co-op mode, and as discussed a new support hero. This new update is said to be Overwatch’s biggest content drop yet.
At the end of the trailer, it was shown that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get the Overwatch 2 New Heroes starter pack, including all six new heroes, legendary skins, and in-game cosmetics, on August 10, 2023.
