Overwatch 2 New Junk City Revealed as New Flashpoint Map

On August 10, 2023, Blizzard will release the Overwatch 2 Invasion update. With this, Overwatch 2 will receive a new PVE mode, story missions, a new PVP mode called Flashpoint, and more. One of the newest maps that will be coming in Flashpoint is surrounding a certain queen that’s already on the roster. Overwatch 2 brings New Junk City to the battlefield.

What Is New Junk City?

New Junk City is a new map that will be coming to the Flashpoint game mode as a part of the Overwatch 2 Invasion update. The map itself is a city made out of scrap metal filled with shops, homes, and even a giant dome that looks like an arena. Players can expect to see this map in Overwatch 2 on August 10 along with the Overwatch 2 Invasion update.

What Is Overwatch 2 Flashpoint?

Overwatch 2’s Flashpoint game mode is a domination-like game mode. Players will be going against each other in a 5v5 matchup. It’s essentially a race between each other. The first team to capture three Flashpoints wins. There will be two maps for the game mode at launch with one of them being New Junk City.

Does Overwatch Have a Game Pass Perk?

The only mention of Blizzard-related games on Game Pass at the moment is Overwatch 2, but only as a perk. Subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will get access to the Overwatch New Heroes Starter Pack beginning on August 10. This gives players access to the first six new Heroes of Overwatch 2 for free.
