During Blizzcon 2023, a surprise announcement was made for Overwatch 2. While many were aware of Mauga being announced, they did not expect the next two heroes for 2024 to be revealed. Well, not completely but at least concepts and their names. Here is a look at the two new Overwatch 2 heroes, Venture and Space Ranger.

Below is the first look at Venture the new DPS hero and Space Ranger the new Support hero.
These two heroes will be coming out with seasons 10 and 12 respectively. That means players should see them sometime around April and August respectively. It was also confirmed that there would be three heroes coming in 2024. The third will be in Season 14 around the same time as Mauga so in November or December.
This new hero will be a DPS. They look like they are holding a gun similar to Zarya’s. They also look a little rougher. Maybe a miner of sorts? It is hard to predict what country of origin Venture could be from based on the initial concept art shown.
According to Game Director Aaron Keller, fans will be getting a look at a current iteration of Venture at Blizzcon. Make sure to stay locked in at The Game Haus for more coverage.
This new hero is confirmed to be getting a different name. Space Ranger, again according to Keller, is a placeholder for now. There is still a chance they keep that name but it is worth noting this detail.
What is interesting about them is that they look a bit like D.Va in space. Could they know about Winston or what happened at the Moon Base? Regardless it is worth nothing that they do not have a discernable weapon in their hands. Could they be a MEKA pilot as well?
Either way Space Ranger is currently very intriguing and a hero that will probably not get many updates for at least the next few months.
