People really do care about the lore in Overwatch 2. Despite the game drastically changing and putting some players off of the 5v5 system, players are still invested into the overarching story. Which doubly sucks when the campaign for Overwatch 2 was scrapped. Oh well, at least we have some, uh, canon ages? That’s good too I guess. Now people are wondeing, how old is Genji in Overwatch 2? This cybernetic ninja isn’t too old, as Genji is just 37 years old. Stop laughing, 30 isn’t old.

When people ask, how old is Genji in Overwatch 2, they are probably curious because they can’t see his face. We really only have the young Genji to work with, and that was before he was horribly mangled to the point of needing to become a cyborg. There is also some wonky aging issues going on between Hanzo, Genji and Kiriko now that Blizzard has decided to give each character a canon age. It’s all very weird and confusing now that these ages are official, so I don’t blame the average Overwatch player to be curious as to what the heck is going on.
Now we know that Genji is almost 40, I think it is time we dunk on him for being edgy. He has hung out with Zenyatta long enough for him to realize that being a ninja is actually cool. He should just stick to doing sweet ninja things and not worry about society or whatever he blabbers on about. But I get it, he has to fight evil robots so he isn’t really in the most casual of circumstances. I don’t know where I’m going with this. Anyway, Genji is 37.
