After years of advertising it, Overwatch 2 finally revealed their first wave of PvE content. Going by the name Overwatch 2 Invasion, this expansion brings new Story Missions, an all-new PVP core game mode, new ways to build on skills for heroes, and even a new Support hero. But catching many players off guard, Overwatch 2 Invasion PvE was revealed to cost money.
This then begs the question, how much does the Overwatch 2 Invasion cost?
According to the official Overwatch 2 website, the Overwatch 2 Invasion Bundle costs $15. This includes permanent access to Invasion story missions, 1000 Overwatch coins, and the Sojourn legendary skin.

There’s also an upgraded version, known as the Ultimate Invasion Bundle. This particular bundle includes all the rewards mentioned alongside the base Overwatch 2 Invasion bundle. But also provides more rewards on top of it.
At the price of $40, the Ultimate Invasion Bundle compensates players with an additional 1000 Overwatch coins, Legendary skins for Cassidy and Kiriko, and The Null Sector Premium Battle Pass with 20 Tier skips.
Keep in mind, the currency mentioned here is in USD, and doesn’t include tax. Prices may differ per region.
A lot of players seem disappointed behind the paywall. It’s difficult to say whether this practice will continue as Overwatch 2’s lifespan goes on. This turn of events definitely left a sour taste in much of the community’s mouths. Some players thought they paid for the PvE when they purchased the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack — this is not the case. All players will need to purchase the Overwatch 2 Invasion Bundle separately to access the content starting August 10.
On the other hand, the PvP content, Flashpoint, will be available for all players. In other words, players won’t have to purchase the Overwatch 2 Invasion bundle to participate.
