League of Legends: TSM Week 5 Preview

Bjergsen is the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four for week for of the 2019 LCS Spring Split

On the back of a rough Rift Rivals performance, Team SoloMid are back in action this week in the LCS. Fans of TSM will be hoping for a better showing this week as they face 100Thieves and CLG. The big question still hangs over TSM’s head; “When will the Jungler be decided?”,  TSM fans will be hoping they will get their answer this week.

TSM kick off proceedings with a matchup against a resurging 100Thieves. The former LCS finalists are on a three-match winning streak and will be looking to make it four. TSM will be looking to dust off from their sub-par Rift Rivals performance and prove they are a team that is improving. After being praised for his performances at Rift Rivals Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik will be the play to watch.

“Out of the three top laners I played against Broken Blade for sure was the most impressive” – Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau

Despite having heavy deficits in the top lane. 100Thieves have started to turn their fortune into victories by simply outplaying their opponents. Broken Blade must be placed onto a carry champion to ensure Aaron “FakeGod” Lee never gets to carry in the late-game.

Counter Logic Gaming

A tale as old as time. Counter Logic Gaming vs Team SoloMid, a match heavily favored on the side of TSM with CLG not beating TSM for almost 3 years – dating back to their last final in Spring 2016. This will be an important match-up in the race for playoffs with both sides sitting at a 5-3 record.

Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage is the player to watch in this series. PowerofEvil has been the catalyst for CLG since he joined the roster in Spring. He will play a vital role in the game and will be tasked with taking down the king Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.

“I expect TSM to go 1-1 on the Week. 100Thieves have been on a surge and it would not surprise me to see TSM drop a game to 100T. TSM have lacked consistency and this could be the key factor along with a less than acceptable performance at Rift Rivals, This is the perfect time to face TSM. While I have predicted TSM to lose to 100Thieves I do believe they will pick themselves back up for CLG. I do not see TSM’s three-year winning streak ending this weekend. TSM have all of the tools and talent to walk away from Week 5 with a 2-0 sweep, I just do not have the faith in them at the moment to remain consistent” – Jordan Marney
