The fall regional championships for Heroes of the Storm is set to start this Sunday, July 11th. The tournament will take place over the next three weeks every Sunday at 10 am, throughout the month of July. The tournament is organized by ESL and while there are no cash prizes for qualifying teams, the top 120 teams will earn points towards the Blizzard invitational qualifier.
The tournament will be a best of three format, with teams moving up a bracket which has yet to be created. The latest hero to be released in Heroes of the Storm, Gul’ Dan, will not be playable at the tournament since it would violate the two week restriction rule. Gul’ Dan is set to be released sometime over the next week or two. The tournament will be broadcast live on ESL’s website and their official Twitch channel.
