The Dalaran Heist is finally over. The story in this chapter is done and we have some things we can look into on what might happen in the next set. The story of the League of E.V.I.L. will return in the next set now that they have taken the city.
The Story so Far
The League of E.V.I.L. was successful in taking the city. They defeated the Mages, hooked the city up with rockets, sowed chaos in the streets, released the villains and plundered the vaults. The villains finally won. In the story of the Dalaran Heist, the henchmen were able to defeat characters notable characters from Hearthstone history. Keep in mind that defeated does not mean dead. Players defeated Hagatha, King Togwaggle, Dr. Boom and Rafaam and yet, here they are.
Additionally, beating all the chapters in the adventure grants players the golden classic pack as well as a new card back. This golden pack has one of the best chances to pull a golden legendary, so it’s always a good idea to open it up. With each chapter beat, players will also get Dalaran Heist packs, allowing them to fill out their collect a bit.
The Next Possible Set
It would be foolish to think that the city of Dalaran will sit by as their city is taken. Perhaps in the next set we will see a group of heroes that will come and stop the League. Or perhaps the characters that we saw during the heist will make a return to get a rematch with the villains. Maybe the heroes will have sidekicks to help them fight the evil that will infest the city. The sky’s the limit when it comes to the next set.
Perhaps we will see more villains added to the League of E.V.I.L. We are missing out on a few classes in the ranks. Perhaps the missing classes will come out in the next set as more villains as they try to take another city. Or the new villains will try and take the city from the old ones?
How was the Heist
Overall the Heist was one of the best solo adventures to date. Of course, it wasn’t perfect by any means, but it was close. With tons of options to choose from at the start, the replay value is amazing. However, in the replay area, it has one problem: the players will run into the same characters over and over again and sometimes never see the rare encounters. Perhaps some of the common encounters should be randomized in different ways, or maybe have some of the first ones appear later with different decks and different Hero Powers. Overall, this adventure was a complete success and the future of the solo adventures.
