With the Regional Qualifiers still ongoing, Valve has revealed that the International 2019 invite teams have been finalized.
The twelve best and highest-scoring teams from around the world have been selected and invited. The competition looks incredibly exciting.
Take a look below and see if your favorite teams got their invites.
The Teams
Last week we let you know about The International pro circuit top 5 teams. These are the teams that looked set to receive an invite to TI no matter what happens. All five of the teams we featured received invites to the tournament. This should come as no surprise though as, at the time of writing, there was a substantial points gap between fifth and sixth place.
Now that the International 2019 invite teams have been finalized, Valve has released the information officially in the Battle Pass. The top 12 teams look a little something like this.
For those of you not familiar with the team logos, the invited teams are as follows:
- PSG.LGD
- Evil Geniuses
- Team Liquid
- Alliance
- Fnatic
- Vici Gaming
- Team Secret
- Virtus.pro
- TNC Predator
- OG
- KEEN GAMING
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
With giants like Team Secret, OG (despite their irregular form of late) and Team Liquid, we should be in for a super exciting tournament.
Late Arrival
A late-comer to the party this year was the all-European veterans, Alliance. When we wrote up our International pro circuit top 5 teams article last week, Alliance was still outside the top 12. This meant no automatic invite for TI.
Going into the EPICENTER Major, Alliance needed at least a sixth place finish to secure an invite to The International. They were competing for the last qualifying spot at the tournament so the EPICENTER Major was huge for them.
Great news for Alliance fans, they managed to secure fifth/sixth place at the Major. Their tweet says it all.
We place 5-6th at the EPICENTER Major, bringing home $60,000 and the final qualifying #TI9 slot of this DPC season. GG's @virtuspro!
Your support has been amazing this season #ALLFAM, let's go to TI with everything we've got!#LongLiveAlliance #Dota2 pic.twitter.com/omTL3tUJDj

Congratulations to Alliance. Last spot at TI 2019 and a cool $60,000 to boot.
Despite a recent run of mixed form, Alliance is a team with TI-winning pedigree having won the tournament in 2013. With this in mind, we look forward to seeing what the European team can bring to the table this year.
Final Thoughts
Now that The International 2019 invite teams have been finalized it seems we can start to get excited about the tournament. TI is the biggest event in the Dota 2 pro calendar and it never disappoints.
As we mentioned, Regional Qualifiers are still ongoing until July 14. This leaves a few days for the winning teams from the qualifiers to sneak into the tournament. Predictions for Heroes, Teams, Players and the Tournament in the Compendium open in just a couple of days. Even if you don’t know your pro circuit it’s worth dropping some predictions in just for the chance at that bonus experience.,
