It is the dawn of a new era for Counter-Strike as Global Offensive is out and Counter-Strike 2 is in. This will see some new changes to a classic title that most individuals have played at least once. Some players who may not own PCs are going to be wondering if they can play Counter Strike 2. Here is the answer to whether Counter Strike 2 is on Mac or not.
The simple answer to this can be found in the FAQ community page on Steam. Counter Strike 2 is not on Mac upon release. Below is the official statement as of the original publishing of this article.
“Is Counter-Strike 2 available on Mac? No. At this time CS2 is not available on Mac.”
This will obviously be disappointing to fans. Especially those who were dedicated CSGO players. This feels like a major area to be missing with the release of CS2.
Because of that, it would not be overly surprising to see a remedy to this problem shortly after the release. Mac players are certainly going to be clamoring for an explanation and surely Valve is already moving to put this popular game on one of the most popular computer systems in the world.
While Counter Strike 2 is a popular game, it will not be on any Console. At least not initially. This will be upsetting to players who want to play the new Counter Strike game on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. There is a small glimmer of hope though.
Mostly due to the fact that previous games have made it onto consoles. Even if that was relatively brief. There have been statements that Valve was working on bringing CSGO to Next-Gen Consoles.
With CS2 being the spiritual successor to CSGO, it would seem as though that statement may apply to the updated version of the game.
