The College Call of Duty Preseason kicks off with the first 2K tournament. The bracket for this event was revealed on Thursday night. Randomized seeding was used, and as a result, future events will be seeded based off the placings in this tournament. Defending champions Georgia Southern will not be present and other universities will look to capitalize in their absence.
Bracket
Analysis
The randomized seeding used for this preseason tournament determined what match-ups would start off Season One. Some teams must be enjoying the bracket more than others. Newcomers Finger Lakes Community College can’t be thrilled after matching up against the experienced Grossmont College in round one.
The top storylines heading into the event were the potential semi-finals. For instance, Ohio State University could face Grossmont College while the University of Toronto could face Ole Miss Red (the core of Season Zero’s CCL Red). Whichever team takes home first place and 2,000 CCL points would have to go through two strong opponents.
Upsets could happen all throughout the event as many of the new teams still get used to Black Ops 4. The amount of control a less experienced team can establish throughout a map could boost their chances for success.
