Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 received a surprise announcement regarding the Modern Warfare 2 beta. This announcement includes the play sessions and starting time for the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta.
The first weekend of the Modern Warfare 2 beta will begin with Playstation users. The PlayStation early access beta begins on September 16 through September 17. The open beta will be made available to all other players on PS4 or PS5 from September 18 through September 20.
The following weekend will be the crossplay beta. The cross-play beta will be made available to Xbox and PC users. This beta begins with early access on September 22 through September 23. The beta will open up to all players across all platforms from September 24 through September 26.
If players wish to receive early access to the Modern Warfare 2 Beta they must preorder the game or receive a code from elsewhere. There are currently only two purchasable editions of the Modern Warfare 2 pre-order editions. The Cross-Gen Bundle, and the Vault Edition. The Cross Gen bundle of the game is listed to cost players $70, and the Vault Edition will cost $99. What is noticeable is that for the first time in mainstream Call Of Duty history there will be no standard $60 dollar version of the game. The prices are the same for PC users as well.
