OpTic Gaming LA General Manager Muddawg has officially announced that JKap has been benched going forward. He will be replaced by the substitute, Chino, in hopes to remedy the shaky start to the season.
Jkap has had multiple underwhelming performances over the past few months and a poor Chicago event was the last straw. Chino has been performing well during scrims as the team has moved to using him on the starting roster and fits into JKap’s old role as an SMG slayer very well. Additionally, his fast paced play style and elite gun skill should pair perfectly with TJHaly’s play style. If all goes well, Chino will be the perfect remedy for a struggling OpTic Gaming roster.
Muddawg also highlighted another key issue with the team: role conflicts. Slasher and Dashy both sport two of the best ARs in the game and are most comfortable in those roles. However, a meta that only supports one AR slayer has caused some displacement for at least one of the players each event. Viewers should keep an eye out this weekend for who uses the AR this event and who uses the MP5.
Fans and viewers will get to see the altered OGLA roster this weekend for the Florida event beginning May 8th on YouTube.
