With this recent Call of Duty, Call of Duty: Cold War season coming to a close, people are gearing up for the new Call of Duty Release Date.

Information on the New Call of Duty

Publish Date: July 27, 2021

There are many questions that need to be addressed when it comes to what the new Call of Duty entails. The one question is based on information on the next Call of Duty. Also, what is the new CoD based upon?

The New Call of Duty Release Date

The reveal date, as per source by VGC, is said to be between August 18th and the 25th. This gives Activision and Sledgehammer enough time to work on advertisements as they need more time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There has been much discussion on whether or not the new Call of Duty would even be released due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, there are rumors and talks about the next CoD being released either at the end of October or early November.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

The next Call of Duty was announced earlier this year and is going to be called Call of Duty: Vanguard. It is said to be based on World War Two. It is going to be similar to earlier CoD’s like World and War and World War Two.

However, even though it is said to be based on World War Two. It is also said that the game could be based on an alternate timeline of World War Two. This means that the timeline would be based if the war never ended with the axis powers being more controlled in the end.

The new Call of Duty will be made by Sledgehammer Games who gave the community CoD titles such as Advanced Warfare, World War Two, and Modern Warfare 3. More notably, however, is Modern Warfare 3 in which the gameplay was great as said by the majority of the CoD community.

The new Call of Duty will also possibly run on a Modern Warfare-like engine. This means it will feel a lot smoother and less clunky as seen in Warzone. In which the President of Activision announced that Sledgehammer games intend on integrating with Warzone as Warzone is front and center for the company.

This is said to be the case also because there are rumors of an event in Warzone that includes a type of reveal of the next CoD by the AC-130 events. This also leads many in the CoD community that there will be a World War version of the Warzone game mode.

Reaction Within the Call of Duty Community

The reaction within the CoD community itself is mostly not a good one as they remembered the earlier titles Sledgehammer has created World War Two and Advanced Warfare, which are some of the lowest-rated and least liked CoD’s in history.

With the rumors of a Modern Warfare/Warzone engine, many professional players are hoping that it will be on that engine as the current engine is one that the pros, as well as casual players, do not like.

Overall, what is to come and what is being said about the next CoD is still yet to be revealed along with the release date. However, one thing is for certain, this next Call of Duty could be the most important one yet.
