With this new update, data-miners were able to access in-game files on information regarding Modern Warfare II. With Modern Warfare II, information about the different editions of the game was leaked. The information shown has not been officially confirmed by Activision themselves.
Within the Modern Warfare II editions was the mentioning of an open beta. If the information proves to be factual Playstation players will be the first to gain access to the Modern Warfare II beta content. The cross-gen bundle also confirms that MW2 will not only release on newer generation consoles like the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S but will also release on past generations consoles as well like the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
