What Does This Mean for PlayStation?

As it currently stands, PlayStation players won’t have to worry about Call of Duty being a console exclusive for 10 years. After that, there’s no telling what Microsoft might do with the franchise. Like with past Call of Duty titles, there might be some console-exclusive features such as maps or skins for Xbox players. However, that’s just speculation for the time being.

Time to Dust off Those Old Cod Skills

No Disc Required

With next-gen consoles such as the Xbox Series X|S being all digital, some players aren’t able to insert an Xbox 360 disc into their system. However, there’s a simple fix to this. With backward compatibility functionality, players are able to purchase older Call of Duty titles digitally and enjoy them that way. Since everything is saved in the cloud your data transfers over as well.
