According to reports, after the deployment of the fix, Call of Duty Black Ops from 2010 attracted more than 100,000 simultaneous players on Sunday, and 2011’s Modern Warfare 3 drew over 7,000 players.

Social media users now report that due to the increased interest in these games and the revitalized player base, the problem of hackers and modded lobbies, which was once significant in some older Call of Duty titles, is becoming far less prevalent.

Xbox Fixes Matchmaking | Resulting in a Huge Spike in Sales

The revival of older Call of Duty installments has played a significant role in boosting the sales of Microsoft’s latest console. The legacy of the Call of Duty brand has proven its impact on the market. Recent reports indicate that the Xbox Series X is experiencing an unprecedented surge in sales.

The demand for the console has reached such heights that it is consistently going out of stock in numerous online retail stores. To be more precise, sales have skyrocketed by an impressive 84 percent on platforms like Amazon.

As fans are enjoying themselves, Microsoft’s team must be feeling ecstatic at the moment, considering the challenges they have recently overcome. The Series X stands out as a powerhouse device, and now, it is garnering even more attention, all thanks to the epic move by Xbox.
