College Call of Duty: University of Toronto Aims For the Top

Publish Date: November 28, 2018

The University of Toronto is one of the top participants for College Call of Duty Season One. Third in the CCL Preseason Power Rankings, they will look to establish themselves as the top team in the CCL. The team is led by CCL Season Zero All-Star and league veteran Darshan “Toonie2k” Nauth.

This team’s passion and drive is evident, with the core of the team participating in a local LAN tournament and practicing consistently.

University of Toronto Call of Duty Roster

  • Toonie2k: Captain/Support Player
  • Millzy: Main AR
  • Hokage: SMG Slayer
  • Tweeq: SMG Slayer
  • (Sub) Kbraand: Support/Objective Player
  • (Sub) GrubaDuba: Support/Objective Player

The balance in this lineup is ideal. A strong Main AR player followed by two aggressive SMGs. This is already a strong combination, and once you add two supportive elements to the aggressive players, you will get results. This team is aiming for the top and they have all the pieces to get there. The University of Toronto will be favored against most teams in the CCL.

Millzy has the potential to become the top AR in the CCL and with a veteran all-star supporting the SMG duo, what more can you ask of a squad?

General Team and Individual Achievements

  1. Toonie2K: CCL Season Zero All-Star
  2. Toonie2K: 3rd Place finish in CCL Season Zero with CCL Red
  3. Millzy: Winner of the CCL 2v2 Black Ops 3 Tournament
  4. The Core of Toronto participated in a local LAN and placed Top 8 out of 16 teams.

Potential Matchups for Regular Season

We do not know what teams will end up in Division A or Division B for the regular season yet, but we can sure speculate on what matches have the most meaning.

Highlight Matches

Butler University:

Butler University came out of nowhere during the first CCL preseason 2K tournament and pushed their way into the finals. One of the teams they eliminated on their way… the University of Toronto in the Quarterfinals. It was an unexpected result, and Toronto will want to establish themselves as the stronger team if these two meet up in the regular season.

Ole Miss Red:

Toonie2k facing off against his former teammates in CCL Red. This match would be one to remember as the two strong teams with similar styles face off. Both are aggressive, and it would make for a very fast paced match.

Ohio State University:

Ohio State University took number one during the preseason power rankings meaning that any match against them will be one with strong implications for the regular season. They currently look unstoppable in Search and Destroy, but Toronto’s pace may be able to break this streak.
