Get ready Call of Duty fans, this weekend CDL Seattle kicks off. With some teams coming off their strongest performance and others falling off recent peaks, fans are in for a treat. The CDL is entering the second half of its season and many teams are looking to break apart from the pack. The Chicago Huntsmen are looking to burst through their plateau and bring home the CDL Seattle championship.
The Paris Legion come into CDL Seattle with a sense of urgency. While the Legion are in sixth in the standings, they would likely argue they could be in third/fourth. Throughout the season, Paris have played very close matches with some of the top teams. As the season enters its second leg, Paris is looking to climb a little higher in the standings before the season ends. The Legion have experienced veterans who are poised to make a run at any point.

Although Chicago are undefeated against the Legion this year, Friday’s match is no easy feat. Paris have taken Chicago to the wire many times this year and a series or two could have gone their way. The biggest area Chicago needs to pay attention to is Hardpoint. The last time these two teams met, Paris outplayed Chicago in the Hardpoints. The Huntsmen did not rotate well and paid for it as a result. Additionally, the Huntsmen need to keep an eye on Kismet. Kismet had a strong series against Chicago and tore through them multiple times throughout the series.
The biggest tailwind behind the Huntsmen is their track record. While Paris looks strong at certain points this season, Chicago has been sharper for a longer period of time. Chicago is making semifinal after semifinal, which is more than most teams can say. Again, Chicago are also yet to drop a series against Paris. Chicago’s early-season sharpness combined with their undefeated record against the Legion will likely guide them to a victory on Friday.
Chicago is in the tougher half bracket. Depending on which teams win or lose the Huntsmen play the Minnesota ROKKR or OpTic Gaming LA. The ROKKR are two-time finalists and OGLA are coming off their best performance of the season. Regardless of Chicago’s first-round match, fans are in for a real treat for the second-round matchup

Given the Huntsmen’s massive roster move yesterday, there is no chance the player to watch would be anyone else other than Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson. Fans heard rumors of Chicago’s chemistry issues with Gunless. Prestinni is Arcitys’ duo and will certainly have an immediate impact upon arrival. Prestinni’s fast-paced gameplay will surely make a splash heading into CDL Seattle.
Moreover, the player to watch is Prestinni due to the expectations he arrives with. Chicago consistently made semifinals with Gunless and the expectation for Prestinni is he can push Chicago across the finish line. Prestinni is expected to make an immediate impact and ultimately help the Huntsmen find more success in the second half of the season. One thing is for sure, all eyes will be on Prestinni and the Huntsmen at CDL Seattle.
Although the Huntsmen have limited time to scrim with Prestinni, their talent and poise will lead them to victory. Prestinni’s personality and playstyle will benefit the Huntsmen and help them make a deep run at CDL Seattle.
