The Chicago Huntsmen have been perfect this season having not lost a series yet. The Huntsmen have certainly made a statement so far in 2020 and now is the time to take their feet off the gas. It is time to examine how Chicago can continue their flawless start.
Since the 2020 CDL season started, the Chicago Huntsmen have come out of the gate firing on all cylinders, only dropping Map 1 once. Starting off nearly every match thus far 1-0 has been extremely helpful for the Huntsmen. Winning the first map provides a large confidence boost to the team and also alleviates stress going forward in the series. If a team wins Map 1, it only needs to win 50% of the remaining maps rather than 75%. Additionally, winning the opening Hardpoint provides a fallback if Chicago is lagging behind in Search and Destroy or Domination. Chicago can continue to rake in CDL points by continuing to win Map 1 and cast doubt on their opponents immediately in the series

Every time Chicago has had their back against the wall, they have kept calm and stuck to the game plan. The players group up to push onto the objective and let muscle memory kick in. Early on, there have been plenty of maps that have come down to the wire for the Chicago Huntsmen. Chicago has demonstrated it, and understands how to play Modern Warfare better than other teams. One thing to be careful for, winning early on can go to teams’ heads and inflate players’ egos. It will be imperative to continue to keep composure as the stakes rise and points become more important down the stretch.
As talent floods into the Call of Duty scene, the level of in-game skill continues to rise. With such a high level of competition in the CDL, it is critical Chicago continue to strengthen relationships amongst the team. Given the amount of talent on the Chicago Huntsmen, team chemistry is a backbone of the team’s early success. The Huntsmen have proved early on that each player trusts their teammates to make the right play when push comes to shove. Maintaining strong friendships will continue to be a catalyst of success for the Chicago Huntsmen.
Can they continue this impressive streak? Stay tuned to find out.
