Atlanta Faze Gunfight Invitational is coming to the Gateway Center Arena. The 2v2 gameplay kicks off Saturday, February 22, at 1:30 pm EST. The tournament will feature 10 teams, including celebrity appearances from Lil Yachty and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd. Here is a breakdown of the game mode Gunfight.
The Gunfight Teams are as follows:
Gunfight is a 2v2 setup on a 12 map rotation. The maps are small, and players are given the same randomized loadout at the start of each round. To win a round, players must either eliminate the opposing team or capture the neutralized flag in the middle of the map. If neither of those things happens, the team with the most health wins. Players are given one life per round, and the first team to six rounds wins the match.

While Modern Warfare has seen many instances of Gunfight, the latest update introduced a new 2v2 Gunfight Tournament. Still in the beta stages, Gunfight hosts 16 teams that run in a traditional single elimination bracket style play. The winning team advances, and the losing team returns to the lobby. Every time a team wins, they are granted XP. If a team wins the entire tournament, in addition to XP, both players will receive an additional reward.
To be successful in Gunfight, teams must communicate. Whether that means calling out lethals, health, flag or location, it is important to be clear and concise.
Always go into the round with a plan. The likelihood of securing a win against another solid team without a plan of action is slim. Know the map, be decisive and don’t be afraid to change up comfortable strategies.
Because there is no health regeneration, if the enemy team isn’t going for the flag and has less health, don’t challenge. The team with the most health wins. Maintain a power position and periodically check the flag until the clock runs out.
