BREAKING: Rascal Signed to San Francisco Shock

Publish Date: September 25, 2018

After days of hype and announcements of announcements, the San Francisco Shock announced their signing of former London Spitfire and Dallas Fuel DPS player Dong-jun “Rascal” Kim via Twitter on Tuesday.

Rascal signed with Shock Academy team NRG Esports on June 15th, 2018. NRG finished the last season of Contenders tied for 3rd, trailing just behind XL2 and Contenders champions Fusion University. Rascal was signed to the London Spitfire alongside his fellows from KongDoo Panthera, before being released in February, citing a lack of starting time as the reason for his conflict with his team. He joined the Dallas Fuel in the mid-season signing window, but was released again after a tumultuous two months in Dallas.

On Twitter, SF Shock owner Andy Miller mentioned glibly that his team was “not done yet!” regarding signing new players.

Now that he’s with the Shock, Rascal is immediately involved in another dance for a starting DPS spot – a competition between Andrej “BABYBAY” Francisty, Jay “Sinatraa” Won, and Min-ho “Architect” Park. His experience and versatility should serve him well. Best of luck, Rascal!
