Earlier today, the Chengdu Hunters were revealed to the world. After a couple of mistakes on Twitter and getting ahead of themselves, the official announcement is up. The Hunters are the fifth of the new teams to be announced, and the third of the four Chinese teams we’ve seen.
The lineup will be sporting a striking mix of yellow, gold and black. This makes it a good refresher after all the red team announcements. Their logo will be a big angry panda, China’s national symbol and loved all around the world. The reason was mentioned in a tweet that got deleted earlier this weekend: “Our logo is the panda, a national treasure of China, the symbol of Chengdu, and a symbol of peace and good luck.”
Even though the roster has not been announced, it’s suspected that former Los Angeles Gladiators DPS player Ted “silkthread” Wang will be a member of the team. The suspicions are due to him traveling to China and being followed by the team’s Twitter page before the official announcement happened.
