Europa League Final Recap: Chelsea Defeats Arsenal 4-1

It was an intense match today between Chelsea and Arsenal for the Europa League Final, with Chelsea hoisting the trophy after a 4-1 win.

Chelsea took on their typical 4-3-3 lineup, while Arsenal stuck to a 3-4-1-2 formation. Chelsea put a strong three of Hazard, Pedro and Giroud up top for a good offense to start. Arsenal put Aubameyang and Lacazette up top with Ozil swinging behind as a central midfielder.

The game started slowly with not many shots on goal.

In the 18th minute, Chelsea got a close call for an Arsenal penalty. Chelsea’s keeper, Arrizabalaga, came out and caused a foul. Luckily for them, there was not enough contact to give Arsenal a penalty after looking at it with VAR.

Arsenal’s Xhaka got a close shot on goal that went off the crossbar in the 27th minute.

In the 37th minute, Chelsea got a good shot on goal from Giroud. Arsenal keeper, Cech, made an amazing save by diving right to make the ball go out.

Chelsea finally got a goal in the 49th minute of the match for the lead. Then, Giroud got another chance on goal that Cech could not stop. Heading the ball into the left near post, it left Cech to dive quickly to miss the save.
