It’s been 3 days since Deadlock released its newest Hero, Rat King, in the City Never Sleeps update. Since the royal rodents’ release, players have been very vocal within the Deadlock community, discussing how unbalanced the new hero is compared to the other characters in the roster. From the Rat King’s scrap grenades to his Rule, Ratannia! ultimate, the character felt way too overpowered, and something needed to change. The Deadlock developers listened and recently released a new set of patch notes to better balance the character. • Scrap Grenade
  • Fixed bugs related to bounce targeting.
  • Damage increased from 65 → 70.
  • T2 Damage increased from 65 → 70.
• Rat Swarm
  • Base cooldown reduced from 28s → 24s.
• Rule, Ratannia!
  • Cooldown increased from 130s → 160s.
  • Damage Reduction reduced from 20% → 15%.
  • Radius reduced from 24m → 20m.
  • Charge Duration reduced from 12s → 10s.
  • Bonus Move Speed no longer scales with Spirit.
  • Rat King now falls faster while charging.
  • T1 Changes
    • Move Speed bonus increased from +1 m/s → +2 m/s.
    • No longer provides -20s Cooldown.
      • Total cooldown changes from 110s → 160s.
  • T2 Changes
    • No longer provides +8s Charge Duration.
      • Total Charge Duration changes from 20s → 10s.
    • Flag Duration bonus reduced from +8s → +5s.
  • T3 Changes
    • Damage Reduction bonus reduced from 15% → 10%.
      • Total Damage Reduction changes from 35% → 25%.
