Deadlock’s main Discord server is one of the biggest community hubs for the game, and moderators have just removed a Hero channel for one of the game’s most beloved ones, Fathom (also known as Slork). Here’s more on why this likely happened and what it means for the future of Fathom in Deadlock.

As you can see in the image above, Fathom was archived alongside several other Heroes that some Deadlock players may recognize from the old Hero Labs. The archived list includes:
These were likely archived because developers have no pressing plans to work on or develop the Heroes any further, but that doesn’t mean we’ll never see Slork again. At least I hope it doesn’t.

Valve has a long history with toggling around Hero abilities in their games, especially in Deadlock. So, even if we do not see any of these Heroes in their current state again, perhaps we will see their abilities crop up elsewhere.
