Her release date will depend on where Baba finishes in the City Never Sleeps fan vote. Valve is releasing two of the six new heroes each week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET. Once Baba’s release date is revealed, this article will be updated.
Until then, below are all of the dates that she could be released, along with our prediction for which date Baba will grace The Cursed Apple.
The release order for Baba and the other five City Never Sleeps heroes is being decided by Deadlock players through the new fan voting system.
Voting takes place in the Pregame lobby. Players can vote for the hero they want to see released next, and votes from players on the winning team are worth double. A player’s first win of the day also provides double voting power.
If you are wondering exactly how the system works, check out our guide on How to Vote for the Next Deadlock Hero in City Never Sleeps.
If we had to predict Baba’s Deadlock Release Date, we would say Friday, October 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET.
That is correct; we do believe that she will be the second new hero added. While Baba does look interesting as an elderly old lady in a mech, we do believe that the community will believe that heroes such as Rat King have the next best design, at least on the surface, and it is hard not to expect to see them getting plenty of votes as well.
Of course, this is only our prediction. The actual Baba release date will be decided by the Deadlock community vote.
For more on the release dates of the other heroes, please look at our updating article, Deadlock New Hero Release Schedule: When Does Each City Never Sleeps Hero Release?.
We will continue updating both that article and this one as each new hero is officially confirmed.
