NFL Week 17 Picks

The NFL season is full of surprises, which makes it hard to pick winners. Cecil Walker and Joe DiTullio, of The Third and the Don Football Show, will do their best to try to predict the winners for every NFL game this season. Here are the NFL week 17 picks.

Sunday: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

Joe- Both teams have nothing to play for here. The Bills are at home and Josh Allen will want to end the season with a bang.- Bills

Cecil- The Bills have been on a hot streak at home and that should continue against a warm weather team like the Dolphins.-Bills

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers

Joe- After seeing Aaron Rodgers put the team on his back in a meaningless game against the Jets, he should play well again this week.- Packers

Cecil- Neither team has anything to play for, but you know Aaron Rodgers will want to give the fans at Lambeau something to cheer for.-Packers

New York Jets at New England Patriots

Joe- The Jets should feel encouraged by Sam Darnold and Jamal Adams, but they won’t beat the Patriots.   -Patriots

Cecil- Patriots will win this game period. The Jets will make it closer than people think though.-Patriots

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints

Joe- Kyle Allen might start for the Panthers, so even if the Saints don’t have much to play for, they’ll get the win.- Saints

Cecil- The Saints will be resting some of their key starters and they should still beat a Panthers team that is in complete disarray.-Saints

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

Joe- Dallas will run the ball and control the clock to grind out the win in New York. The Giants should hold out all essential players.- Cowboys

Cecil- The Cowboys have nothing to play for as they will rest some starters. The Giants are playing for pride and will try to end on a high note. Giants

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Joe- Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are playing great, but it is too little too late. Still though, the Falcons will get the win.- Falcons

Cecil- The key to this game will be how Jameis Winston plays. No matter who wins though, there will be a lot of points and yards given up by both teams.=Bucs

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Joe- The Jaguars underwhelming season will result in one more loss, as the Texans prep for the playoffs.- Texans

Cecil- The Jaguars packed it in weeks ago. The Texans are still competing for the AFC South and a first-round bye.-Texans

Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos

Joe- Denver has had a roller coaster and they will lose to the Chargers to close it out.- Chargers

Cecil- If you lose to one of the worst teams in football, you are probably one of the worst teams in football. The Broncos fit that billing and have no shot against the Chargers.-Chargers

Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

Joe- Their last game in Oakland went well, but this is the Chiefs in Kansas City.- Chiefs

Cecil- This game will be over by halftime.- Chiefs

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams

Joe- This game will pose no problems for the Rams- Rams

Cecil- The 49ers play hard, but you need talent to beat a team like the Rams.-Rams

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

Joe- While the Vikings will want to win to make sure they get into the playoffs, the Bears’ defense will slow them down severely. – Bears

Cecil-  This is going to be a close one. I am going with the Vikings because they are playing at home in a must-win scenario. The Vikings absolutely must get Dalvin Cook going to have a shot against a phenomenal Bears defense.-Vikings

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers

Joe- Marvin Lewis is still the coach, so it’s a loss for the Bengals.- Steelers

Cecil- The Steelers are going to absolutely destroy the Bengals.-Steelers

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks

Joe- Arizona is a really bad team and the Seahawks are making the playoffs.- Seahawks

Cecil- The Seahawks are going to play hard for better seeding in the playoffs and the Cardinals won’t be able to do anything about.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins

Joe- The Eagles have something to play for, while the Redskins don’t. Philadelphia will win and will make the playoffs.- Eagles

Cecil- I don’t know what it is with Nick Foles late in the season, but the Eagles are pulling it together. The defense is also starting to look better after tons of injuries. The Redskins are trending in the complete opposite direction.-Eagles

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

Joe- Baltimore’s defense will drag them into the playoffs. The Ravens’ offense will control the clock with Lamar Jackson at the helm.- Ravens

Cecil- Baker Mayfield is the key to this game. He has had some rough games on the road but has been playing well down the stretch. The Browns defense will get worn down by the Ravens run game eventually for a score or two, but the Browns will win if the team puts up three touchdowns. -Browns

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans

Joe- The Colts are on a roll offensively and Tennessee won’t be able to keep up with them. Andrew Luck will be back in the playoffs.- Colts

Cecil- Andrew Luck is a man on a mission and playing elite football. The Titans are an up and down team whose offense won’t be able to keep up, especially with Marcus Mariota being less than one hundred percent. -Colts
