Brian Dozier has been traded to the Dodgers in a multi-player deal with the Twins according to Jerry Crasnick. The Twins will receive second baseman Logan Forsythe, outfielder Luke Raley and right-handed pitcher Devin Smeltzer.
The Dodgers have worst batting average for the position of second base and got Dozier to boost the offense. Dozier has struggled himself this season, but would still be an upgrade at the position with his .224 average. He has added 16 home runs and 52 RBIs this season.
In return, Forsythe can play multiple positions, but is hitting just .207. Raley is batting .275 in Double-A this season. Smeltzer is also in Double-A and has a 4.73 ERA.
