Top 25 College Football Wide Receivers

The college football season is approaching. There is always debate over ranking the best players in the sport. Here are the top 25 college football wide receivers heading into the 2026 season.

Note: There is some projection in these rankings for the upcoming season. These are not NFL Draft rankings, but rather focus on the best players in college football.

25. Beau Sparks, Texas State Bobcats

Sparks had a big season for Texas State in 2025, hauling in 84 passes for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’ll help the Bobcats transition into the Pac-12 this season. 

24. Chase Hendricks, Cal Golden Bears

Hendricks popped off for Ohio last season, as he totaled 71 receptions for 1,037 yards and seven touchdowns. He joins a good receiving core at Cal, where he will catch passes from the promising Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele. 

23. Ian Strong, Cal Golden Bears

Joining Hendricks as a Cal wide receiver is Rutgers transfer Ian Strong. Despite Rutgers having struggles, Strong hauled 52 passes for 762 yards and five touchdowns. 

22. Braylon Staley, Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee will have a new starting quarterback this season, but Staley and the other receivers should help him. Staley caught 68 passes for 837 yards and six touchdowns last season and could build on that if the quarterback play holds up. 

21. Andrew Marsh, Michigan Wolverines

Even in an offense that doesn’t pass efficiently, Marsh stood out as a freshman. He had 45 receptions for 651 yards and four touchdowns last season. If Bryce Underwood improves at quarterback, Marsh can really jump up this list by next season.

20. Eric Singleton, Florida Gators

After two successful seasons at Georgia Tech, Singleton had 58 receptions for 534 yards and three touchdowns for Auburn last season. The quarterback play at Auburn wasn’t great, so a new situation could help Singleton shine more again. 

19. Danny Scudero, Colorado Buffaloes

Scudero put up huge numbers at San Jose State, bringing down 88 catches for 1,297 yards and 10 touchdowns. He will now test his skill at the power conference level by lining up for Colorado. 

18. Wyatt Young, Oklahoma State

Young had a great sophomore season for North Texas, as he amassed 1,264 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He followed head coach Eric Morris to Oklahoma State where he will try to turn things around for the Cowboys. 

17. Cooper Barkate, Miami Hurricanes

Barkate moved up from Harvard to Duke last season and delivered with 1,106 receiving yards. He will rejoin quarterback Darian Mensah, as both players made the move to Miami this offseason. 

16. TJ Moore, Clemson Tigers

Clemson had a rough season in 2025, but Moore caught 52 passes for 837 yards and four touchdowns. A new quarterback will be under center for Clemson, so production could fluctuate.

15. Nyck Harbor, South Carolina Gamecocks

Harbor has improved every season at South Carolina. As a junior in 2025, he had 30 catches for 618 yards and six touchdowns. The speedster is a great athlete, but is still learning the nuances of the wide receiver position. 

14. Bryant Wesco, Clemson Tigers

Wesco had 537 receiving yards in just seven games played last season. If he is healthy, he can join with TJ Moore to give Clemson a great receiver room. 

13. Ryan Wingo, Texas Longhorns

Wingo nearly doubled his production from his freshman season to his sophomore year with 834 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He’ll be a part of a great set of skill positions for Arch Manning to utilize this year. 

12. Amare Thomas, Houston Cougars

Thomas made the jump from UAB to Houston last season and impressed. He caught 67 passes for 966 yards and 12 touchdowns to help Houston turn things around. 

11. Isaiah Sategna, Oklahoma Sooners

While he never had over 500 receiving yards in a season over three years at Arkansas, but bested that in his first year at Oklahoma with 965 yards and eight touchdowns. If John Mateer stays healthy this season, his production could jump even more.

10. Charlie Becker, Indiana Hoosiers

As the third wide receiver on Indiana’s championship run, Becker had 679 yards and four touchdowns. Now as one of two great options, Becker will be utilized more in the offense. 

9. Omarion Miller, Arizona State Sun Devils

After having 45 catches for 808 yards and eight touchdowns for Colorado, Miller decided to transfer to Arizona State. He didn’t have the best quarterback play last season and now will try to help quarterback Cutter Boley along. 

8. KJ Duff, Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Duff has a huge frame and used it well last season for the Scarlet Knights, as he had 60 catches for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns. There will be a few new faces around him, but Duff’s talent should be able to appear frequently for Rutgers. 

7. Nick Marsh, Indiana Hoosiers

Things haven’t gone smoothly for Michigan State the last few seasons, but Marsh was a bright spot. He had 662 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season and now can pair with Charlie Becker to make a great receiving duo. 

6. Duce Robinson, Florida State Seminoles

Robinson is a huge receiver who spent the first two seasons of his career at USC before transferring to Florida State. He had 1,081 receiving yards last season and now will have to break in a new quarterback.

 5. Mario Craver, Texas A&M Aggies

After sharing the spotlight with KC Concepcion last season, Craver will be the go-to guy for Texas A&M. He had 59 catches for 917 yards and four touchdowns and should do more this season. 

4. Ryan Coleman-Williams, Alabama Crimson Tide

He had a great freshman season, but then saw his production dip last year. A major bounce-back could be in store for Coleman-Williams, after going from 865 to 689 receiving yards. 

3. Cam Coleman, Texas Longhorns

Coleman hasn’t had the greatest quarterback play at Auburn, but now gets to catch passes from Arch Manning. He can build on his 708 receiving yards and five touchdowns from last season. 

2. Malachi Toney, Miami Hurricanes

Toney came out of nowhere to be a star for Miami last season. The freshman had 109 receptions for 1,211 yards and 10 touchdowns and this year could be even better with improved quarterback play. 

1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State Buckeyes

Quite possibly the best player in the sport, Smith had 87 catches for 1,243 yards and 12 touchdowns. A good season could see Smith winning his second national championship with the Buckeyes.
