Herman was hired after posting two good seasons at Houston. With Texas, he has a 32-18 record over four seasons. He never posted a losing season with the team, but the best season he had came in 2018, which produced a 10-4 record. The year was capped off with a win in the Sugar Bowl.
This season, Texas went 7-3 and did not qualify for the Big 12 Championship. Herman was kept through the early signing period, but has now been fired.
The man who has been rumored to take over the Texas program is Alabama’s offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian according to 247sports’ Chip Brown.
