San Diego State is expected to join the Pac-12 with an anticipated announcement coming this week according to Dan Patrick.
San Diego State currently competes in the Mountain West Conference for major sports like college football and college basketball. The addition of the Aztecs to the conference comes after UCLA and USC announced that they were moving to the Big Ten earlier this year.
If confirmed, the Aztecs would join Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Utah, Washington and Washington State in the conference. It could be presumed that the Pac-12 would be in search of one more member to give themselves an even number.
