1. Ricky White III, WR, UNLV Rebels
UNLV got their second win over a power four team in week 3. They defeated Kansas on the road and were aided by the running of quarterback Matthew Sluka. The passing offense wasn’t great and that included White. He finished the game with three catches for four yards.
White has talent, but hasn’t produced in their two games against good competition this season. That will hurt his draft stock. He has a chance to improve it with one more power four game against Syracuse and some tough Mountain West games. He had a tough game, but his speed and ability to create after the catch can help him the rest of the season.
2. Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas had a tough loss against UNLV, which was their second defeat of the season. Their run defense had its issues, but their pass defense played well. They allowed just 86 passing yards. A lot of that is a credit to their talented secondary players. Cobee Bryant had a good game with three tackles and a pass defended.
Bryant has been beaten a few times this season, but is a solid athlete and has nice ball skills. He still will need to work on his shedding and run support, even though he is willing to help in those areas. While his team is struggling, he’ll still have some big matchups to focus on the rest of the season.
3. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona Wildcats
Arizona had a tough game on Friday night against Kansas State. They struggled to get their offense going and lost 31-7. About the only thing going well for their offense was wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. He finished the game with 11 catches for 138 yards.
McMillan has put up incredible stats so far this season, showing how much of a mismatch he is for opponents. He has great size and long-speed, which has helped him be one of the best receivers in the country. McMillan doesn’t change directions well, which in some ways limits his route running and run-after-the-catch ability. He has a chance to be picked very early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
4. Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky rebounded from a bad loss to South Carolina in week 2 to play Georgia closely. They lost 13-12, which showed the prowess of the Wildcats’ defense. Their defensive line was particularly impressive, including Walker, Kentucky’s best player. Walker finished the game with four tackles and a pass defended.
Not only is he big, but Walker moves well for his size. He can blow up run plays by taking on multiple blockers or dominating the man blocking him. He also showed he was effective against the pass by pushing the pocket and even deflecting a pass. Walker is another player who should hear his name called early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
5. Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State Rams
There was a lot of trash talk from Horton and the rest of the Colorado State team heading into their matchup with Colorado. Things didn’t go their way, as they lost 28-9. Horton was questionable with an injury, but only notched two catches for 24 yards.
Horton will have some tough Mountain West games, but it would have been nice to do well against a power four team. He did play well in the game last season. He has the size and athleticism to make it in the NFL, but looks like he might be a mid-round pick rather than rising up draft boards.
