There has been plenty of conference realignment in the last few years. There are four teams joining to Big 12. Here are the new Big 12 teams in 2023.
Previous conference: Independent
City: Provo, Utah
BYU spent many years in the Mountain West. They became an independent in 2011. The Cougars have had two double-digit win seasons over the last three years.
Previous conference: AAC
City: Cincinnati, Ohio
The Bearcats were in the Big East then the AAC before joining the Big 12. Cincinnati has won double-digit games in three of the last five seasons.
Previous conference: AAC
City: Houston, Texas
Houston was formerly AAC with Cincinnati and UCF. Houston won 12 games in 2021.
Previous conference: AAC
City: Orlando, Florida
The Knights were in the AAC over the last several years. UCF won double-digit games in three of the last six seasons. This includes their 13-0 season in 2017.
