NCAA’s Board of Governors Votes to Allow Athletes to Profit From Image and Likeness

The NCAA Board of Governors voted to allow athletes to profit from their image and likeness on Tuesday.

They hope the move will prevent lawsuits with states that have passed laws allowing athletes to profit from their image and likeness already.

There is no timeline on future rules associated with allowing players to profit from their image and likeness, but this is a huge step away from the NCAA’s previous stance .
