Brennan was a highly-touted recruit who passed for 1,712 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions on 60.2 percent completion during his LSU career. He played four seasons for the program.
The announcement of him leaving likely means that the starting quarterback will be Jayden Daniels, who just transferred in from Arizona State this offseason. He has 6,025 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on 62.4 percent completion during his time with the Sun Devils.
Also competing for the quarterback job this offseason is Garrett Nussmeier. He is a redshirt freshman who played in four games with the Tigers last season. He passed for 329 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in 2021.
