
After naming him the head coach after the end of the 2022 regular season, Mississippi State has fired head football coach Zach Arnett according to multiple reports.
Arnett was named the head on December 15, 2022. He was serving as the interim coach while Mike Leach was hospitalized and Arnett was named coach on a permanent basis after Leach’s passing.
He went 5-6 overall with the team and the Bulldogs were 4-6 this season. They had suffered injuries to the quarterback position and lost six of their last eight games including the last three games.
