He arrived at Florida as a highly-touted quarterback and saw the field as a redshirt freshman. Franks was the starter for all of 2018 and helped lead the Gators to a 10-win season and a Peach Bowl victory.
While he started out as the starter for Florida in 2019, he went down with an ankle injury against Kentucky and missed the rest of the season. Kyle Trask was able to take over and the Gators won the Orange Bowl as they totaled 11 wins.
In his career, Franks has thrown for 4,593 yards, 38 touchdowns and 17 interceptions on 59 percent completion.
Franks will help out Arkansas, who won just two games and had one of the worst passing offenses in the country.
