Former Houston quarterback D’Eriq King has decided to transfer to Miami for his final year of eligibility per his social media accounts.

King reportedly chose Miami over LSU and Arkansas among others.
He started his career at Houston, setting records along the way. After just four games in the 2019 season, King decided to sit out the rest of the year and redshirt. His original plan was to return Houston, but things have since changed.
Miami will love to get a player of King’s experience at the quarterback position, as they have had trouble finding a starting quarterback that can be successful over the last few years. N’Kosi Perry, Tate Martell and Jarren Williams have all had inconsistencies.
In his career, King has 50 passing touchdowns, 28 rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns, as he started his career as a wide receiver. His 2018 season was his best, as King threw for 2,986 yards, 36 touchdowns and six interceptions on 63.5 percent completion. He added 674 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns that season.
