
The college football season is here. Every week, different news and notes will pop up, which will affect what happens on the field and off it. Here are the college football week 8 news and notes.
LSU and Ed Orgeron have decided to part ways following the season. He will be paid $18 million for his duties. This comes after winning a championship two years ago, but also not playing well since. There are also reported off-the-field reasons as to why LSU is moving on from Orgeron.
Washington State University has decided to fire head football coach Nick Rolovich and four assistants due to their refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Every state employee in Washington was required to get the vaccine.
Miami running back Cam’Ron Harris is out for the season after getting injured against UNC. The only designation for Harris is that it is a lower-body injury.
The AAC is losing teams to the Big 12, but they have decided to add a few of their own. They are adding Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Rice, UAB and UTSA. Currently, the conference is hoping to have them play in 2023.
With all of the conference realignment, Southern Miss has decided to join the Sun Belt.
