Georgia Southern has fired Chad Lunsford who had a 28-21 record at the school. After making bowl games the last three years, Lunsford started the 2021 season 1-3. Cornerbacks coach Kevin Whitley will take over in the interim. The news comes after a defensive lineman, Gavin Adcock, was suspended for chugging a beer on top of a school bus before Saturday’s game.
Rhett Rodriguez, the son of ULM offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez, suffered a lung injury in the game against Troy. At the last update, he was still in the hospital but is progressing towards recovery.
Ohio State has released new uniforms, which feature scarlet pants.
In Auburn’s comeback victory, Bo Nix was pulled and T.J. Finley led the team to the win. Head coach Bryan Harsin said that he doesn’t know who will start against LSU on Sunday.
