Deion Sanders Named Jackson State Coach
NFL legend Deion Sanders has been named head coach of Jackson State. He has coaching experience at the high school level, but hasn’t coached in college in his career.

Jalen Mayfield to Reverse Opt-Out
Star offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield originally declared for the NFL Draft, but with the Big Ten returning to the field, so is he.

UMass to Return to Play in Fall
Independent team UMass has decided to play this fall after all according to a tweet by their Twitter account.

Max Duggan Cleared to Play
TCU quarterback Max Duggan has been cleared to play after an underlying health condition was discovered this offseason. The Horned Frogs play Iowa State this weekend.

Mac Jones Listed as Alabama’s Starter
Mac Jones, who finished last year as the starting quarterback after Tua Tagovailoa was injured, was listed as the starter for Alabama on their initial depth chart. Freshman Bryce Young will likely challenge for the starting job throughout the season.

Mountain West in Discussions to Return for Fall
With other conferences trying to return to the field, the Mountain West is following suit. The conference presidents are discussing a plan to return on October 24.
Sources: The Mountain West AD call today ended with optimism for the league playing football this fall, with Oct. 24th as the preferred start date. There's a MWC presidents call scheduled for Friday, but a vote could be taken sooner.

Air Force New Uniforms
Air Force has new uniforms to honor the Tuskegee Airmen. They will wear them on October 3 against Navy.

Notre Dame vs. Wake Forest Postponed
Because of a COVID outbreak on Notre Dame’s team, their game against Wake Forest has been cancelled.
