There is a court date in Alabama on Wednesday that will be for the SEC federal case against LSU. It is an injunction request for the SEC to be able to punish LSU if they put pro players on their roster. The SEC Presidents/Chancellors will meet Thursday to decide LSU’s future in the league. LSU has since added non-pro players to fill out their roster, but the meeting on Thursday will go on because of a “lack of institutional control”.
Western Michigan thought they had the game won over Michigan in week 1, with the clock hitting zero. A second was added after replay and Michigan completed a Hail Mary to win the game by one. The Big Ten has maintained that replay protocol was followed. The MAC released a statement requesting that the result be overturned because protocol wasn’t followed.
The College Football Playoff agreed to a 30-day negotiation window with ESPN in an effort to expand the playoff. While no decision has been made, this could allow for a 24-team playoff as soon as 2027 according to Heather Dinich.
