Miami’s Rueben Bain Jr. Out a Few Weeks
Rueben Bain Jr. was hurt early on in Miami’s win over Florida in week 1. Head coach Mario Cristobal said he will be out for a few weeks and definitely will miss the week 2 games against Florida A&M.
Cincinnati’s Dontay Corleone is Cleared to Play
Cincinnati defensive lineman has been cleared to play by doctors after having blood clots in his lungs this summer. The school has not announced whether he will play Saturday against Pitt.
LSU Running Back John Emery Jr. Suffers Another Torn ACL
LSU running back John Emery Jr. suffered a torn ACL in practice on Tuesday. He rushed for 61 yards on 10 carries in the season-opener against USC.
DJ Lagway to Start First Career Game Against Samford
Five-star recruit DJ Lagway played in Florida’s season-opener against Miami after starter Graham Mertz left with a concussion. Lagway will now get the start against Samford in week 2 while Mertz recovers.
UNC QB Max Johnson to Return Next Season
UNC quarterback Max Johnson broke his leg in the season opener against Minnesota. He announced that he will return for another season of college football.

- Cal running back Jaydn Ott is probable for the team’s game against Auburn this week.
- Iowa State linebacker Caleb Bacon is out indefinitely after having surgery on his lower leg.
