
The college football season is here. Every week, different news and notes will pop up, which will affect what happens on the field and off it. Here are the college football week 2 news and notes.
The Big 12 has invited Houston, Cincinnati, UCF and BYU to apply for the Big 12 and all applications have been submitted. With Texas and Oklahoma leaving the conference, these four universities may join before the two powerhouses depart. There is a vote on Friday to allow the universities in.
All four universities have been admitted and will play in the conference in the Big 12.
UConn head coach Randy Edsall originally said that he was resigning after the season, but then decided to step down now. This is following a loss to FCS-level Holy Cross. Defensive coordinator Lou Spanos will be the interim coach.
